Google Ads management in Costa Rica
We run search, display and remarketing campaigns on behalf of our clients. The account is yours, access is reversible, and the report makes sense.
PS manages Google Ads campaigns on behalf of its clients: structure, day to day operation, measurement and reporting. The advertising account belongs to the client, the access we are given can be revoked at any time, and every month there is a report you can read without a dictionary.
What we actually do when we run an account
We take on the full life cycle of the advertising account. This is the concrete work, without generalities:
- Campaign structure. Campaigns, ad groups and targeting built around the client’s commercial goal, not around whatever is convenient to configure.
- Keyword research. Terms ordered by purchase intent, match type selection, and a negative keyword list that is reviewed and grows every month.
- Ad copy and testing. Headlines and descriptions written for the service that is actually being sold, with variants compared against each other rather than left frozen.
- Assets and extensions. Sitelinks, callouts, structured snippets and location assets where the business benefits from them.
- Conversion tracking. Setup and verification of the actions that matter: form submission, click on the WhatsApp link, email contact or online purchase.
- Budgets and bidding. Daily spend and bidding strategy managed against what the account is showing, not against a generic recipe.
- Remarketing lists. Built from how people interact with the client’s website.
- Reporting. A monthly report covering what was done, why it was done, and what comes next.
Who owns the account
The client. Always, without exception and without fine print.
The Google Ads account is opened and kept in the client’s name, with the client’s own login and the client’s own payment method. PS does not own the account, does not own the history and does not own the data, and keeps none of the three if the relationship ends.
If the client decides to work with another provider or bring the work in house, the account stays exactly where it is, complete, with its full history. The only thing that happens is that PS loses access.
How account access is handled
We manage client accounts from our own Google Ads manager account (MCC). The procedure is Google’s standard one, with no shortcuts:
- PS sends the link invitation from its manager account to the client’s account identifier.
- The client explicitly accepts the invitation from their own account. Without that acceptance there is no access of any kind.
- The access is recorded in the client’s account and is visible to them at any time.
- The client can unlink PS whenever they want, from their own account, without asking us or telling us first.
Inside PS, access is limited to the person responsible for each account. We do not share credentials, we do not use generic logins, and we do not give access to third parties.
What data we collect, how it is used and how it is reported
We work with two kinds of data, and it is worth telling them apart.
Account performance data
These are the metrics Google Ads generates about the campaigns: impressions, clicks, cost, conversions, search terms, and performance by keyword, ad and device. We query them to make optimization decisions and consolidate them into the client’s monthly report. They are used for nothing else.
Data from the people who enquire
When someone fills in a form or writes through the client’s website, that data belongs to the client and lives in the client’s systems. PS sees it only to the extent needed to verify that conversion tracking is working.
We do not sell data. We do not share it with third parties outside the operation of the account. We do not mix one account’s data with another’s. We do not use one client’s information to work on another client’s account.
The monthly report covers, as a minimum: what was spent, what results came in as enquiries or sales, what changes were made during the month, why they were made and what is proposed for the month ahead. What matters to the client is not click through rate: it is how many enquiries came in and what each one cost.
Our internal tool and the Google Ads API
To operate these accounts we maintain our own tool, used exclusively by PS staff, connected to the Google Ads API. It serves two purposes:
- Reporting. It retrieves campaign, ad group, keyword and conversion metrics and consolidates them into the reports we review with each client.
- Management. It allows PS account managers to modify existing campaigns and create new ones, adjust budgets and bids, manage keywords, upload conversions and maintain remarketing audience lists.
Every write action requires explicit confirmation. Before any change is sent to Google Ads, the tool shows the responsible PS employee a plain language summary of the exact change: which resource, which field, old value and new value. The change is only submitted once that person approves it, and it is logged with timestamp and user.
Scope and limits
- The tool only accesses Google Ads accounts that the client has expressly authorized PS to manage.
- It is for internal use. It is not offered as a product, not resold, and not made available to third parties.
- We do not share an account’s data with anyone outside PS and the client who owns that data.
- Access is limited to the PS staff responsible for each account.
- PS operates within Google’s advertising policies and the Google Ads API terms of service.
Analytics and measurement
We complement campaign management with Google Analytics 4 and Search Console setup and monitoring, so advertising spend can be evaluated against what actually happens on the client’s site. If conversion tracking is not set up properly, the campaign is optimized blind, so that is always the first thing we check.
What we do not promise
We would rather say it up front.
- We do not promise a fixed position in the results or a guaranteed cost per enquiry. Google’s auction does not work that way, and anyone promising it is guessing.
- We do not promise results within a fixed deadline. A new account needs data before it can be optimized.
- We do not use contracts that lock the client in, and we never hold an account hostage over payment.
- If after reviewing the account we conclude that paid advertising is not what the business needs, we say so.
Other platforms
PS also runs campaigns on Meta and TikTok as part of its digital marketing service. We do not develop them on this page so as not to dilute the focus, but they follow the same rules: the account belongs to the client and access is reversible.
Legal and contact
Personal data handling for this service is governed by our privacy policy, and the commercial relationship by our terms and conditions. For questions specifically about our use of Google APIs, write to [email protected]. For everything else, [email protected].
Frequently asked questions
Who owns the Google Ads account?
The client, always. The account is opened and kept in the client's name, with their own login and their own payment method. PS gets administrative access through Google's standard link invitation, which the client accepts explicitly and can revoke at any time from their own account.
What happens to the account if I stop working with PS?
The account stays exactly where it is, complete and with its full history. The only thing that changes is that PS loses access. We do not hold the account, the data or the campaign history as security for anything.
What data does PS collect from my account and why?
Performance metrics generated by Google Ads: impressions, clicks, cost, conversions, search terms and performance by keyword, ad and device. They are used to optimize the account and to build the monthly report. They are not sold, not shared with third parties outside the operation, and not mixed with another account's data.
Can PS change my account without telling me?
Changes are made by the PS person responsible for the account, and every change is logged with timestamp and user. Our internal tool requires explicit confirmation before sending any modification to Google Ads, showing which resource and field change, with the old and new value. On top of that, every change is visible in the change history of the client's own account.
Does PS guarantee results or a position on Google?
No. The Google Ads auction does not allow anyone to guarantee a position or a cost per enquiry. What we do is measure, report transparently on what was spent and what came in, and adjust. If we conclude that paid advertising is not what the business needs, we say so.
How is this different from hiring a freelancer?
The campaign does not live on its own. PS also runs the website, the hosting and the email, so when a campaign is not converting we can check whether the problem is the ad, the landing page, site speed, or a form that is not reaching any inbox.
